What Do You Want?

It’s a great question.  The answer, though, may not always be something we like.

December 9, 2011, think about what you want.

If you are a believer in Jesus, do you want Him to be active in your life more than you want things, experiences, comfort, or otherwise?  Are you willing to make hard decisions or do hard things to see Jesus work in your life?  Or do you want the easy way?

This Christmas, do you want things more than the love of Jesus?  Do you want a nice happy feeling more than you want the soul satisfaction of knowing Jesus came to this earth to do things for you that neither you nor anyone else can do?

How are your decisions made?  Do you rely on the Bible, or do you rely on what you want people to do and your perceived ability to control them?

What do you want?  Are you doing things mostly to serve your own ends, or to love both yourself and your neighbor in balance with each other.

Lots of questions for a Friday.  Lots of things to think about.  What do you want?

Have a great weekend everyone.

In Christ,

Pastor Kevin
