The Ministry Juggling Act

In any given week, here is a sample of any number of things that might be on the plate of your church’s ministry staff:

  • scheduling decisions
  • policy conflicts
  • deciding how best to provide help
  • deciding not to help
  • random visitors to the office
  • long term planning and goals
  • visitation
  • encouraging and connecting with people via e-mail, Facebook, phone, text, etc.
  • meeting(s)
  • following up with ongoing situations
  • counseling
  • office staff meetings
  • work to best communicate in various forms
  • oh . . . did I mention sermons and worship service planning?
We love to serve and it takes on a variety of ways.  There is always some light-hearted joking that ministry staff don’t do much, but hopefully this sort of things gives you the idea of what things occupy our time!
